What is an AI matchmaker?
An AI matchmaker uses information about your personality, interests, values and relationship intentions to suggest people to meet. Flock Together starts with a portrait written by the AI assistant you already talk to. You review what you share, receive introductions with a reason you might click, and choose whether to say hello. Compatibility suggestions cannot guarantee chemistry or a relationship.
Am I dating real people or talking to an AI?
Your introductions are to other people using Flock Together. AI helps prepare profiles, suggest matches and offer a conversation starter. Once you both accept an introduction, you talk to each other. Flock Together is not an AI partner or companion chatbot.
How does Flock Together work?
You ask the AI you already talk to (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or another assistant) for a portrait of who you are, using a prompt we provide. You paste that portrait into Flock Together, review it, and choose what to share. Then you tell us what kind of relationship you want. We introduce you to a few people who fit, each with a note on why you might click. No swiping, no endless feed.
Is Flock Together a dating app?
Yes. Flock Together is built to help you find a romantic partner, and our iPhone app is dating only. The web version also lets you look for other kinds of connection, such as friendship, but dating is our focus.
Do I have to write a profile?
No. Your AI describes you from your conversations with it, and you review and edit the result before anything is shared. Other people see only a short public summary, your interests and your location. Your fuller private profile is used to help match you, not shown to others.
Does Flock Together see my AI conversations?
No. Flock Together does not connect to your AI accounts or read your chat history. You share a portrait that your AI wrote, not a transcript, and you paste only what you want to share.
What AI assistants work with Flock Together?
Any conversational AI that knows you from past conversations, including ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini. The more your assistant knows about you, the richer the portrait it can write.
How is this different from swiping apps?
Swiping apps ask you to judge hundreds of photos and one-liners. Flock Together introduces you to a small number of people, chosen from the way you each describe yourselves and what you are looking for, with an explanation for each introduction. You decide whether to say hello or pass.
What is a mutual hello?
When you get an introduction you can say hello or pass. A private conversation opens only when both people say hello, so nobody receives messages they did not ask for.
Can I stay anonymous?
Yes. You can start with a private name and share your real name inside a conversation when you are ready. Each person controls their own reveal, and you can return to anonymous.
How are conversation starters generated?
For each introduction, our AI suggests a conversation starter based on what the two of you have in common. You can keep it, change it, or write your own hello.
Is it safe? Who can use it?
Dating on Flock Together and AI Matchmaker for iPhone are for adults aged 18 and over. The web service also offers non-romantic connections for eligible users aged 13 and over, as described in our terms. Every introduction and conversation has report and block tools, you can pause matching at any time, and you decide what to share and when.
Is Flock Together free?
Yes. You can create your profile, set your dating intention, receive introductions and chat with your matches at no cost.
Is Flock Together available in my country?
Flock Together can be used from anywhere. You can look for people near you or anywhere in your country or the world. The service is available in English and French.
